We announce the death of Janice Lee David of Enid, Oklahoma, born in Temple, Texas, who passed away on October 4, 2026, at the age of 76. Janice will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Whelchel and Maybelle Frazier Whelchel; her husband Howard L. David Jr.; and her siblings, Patty Griffee, Peggy Herter, Carol Lewis, Ella Roach and William Whelchel.
She is survived by: her children, April David, Milton (Candie David), Rebecca David and Mistie David Smith; her grandchildren, Julianne Leachman, Keerstee Wallace (Sam), Kaycee Foley (Sam), Zachary Smith, Anthony Foley, Keaton Smith, William David and Brayden Smith; her great grandchildren, Shyler Smith, Trey Waggoner, Hunter Waggoner, Mahina Waggoner, Easton Foley, Oliver Woods and Owen Woods; and her siblings, Vernon Whelchel and Virginia Whelchel.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Anderson Burris Funeral Home & Crematory (3002 N Van Buren St, Enid, OK 73703). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Hospice Circle of Love.
