He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Coffey and Edward Shourek. He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Kasper (Nick) and Jacob Shourek; his grandson Gage; and his pet Zoey.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
