We announce the death of Kathy Austin of Enid, Oklahoma, who passed away on August 25, 2026, at the age of 90. Kathy will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Junior and Rosa Mitten (Herth); her husband Elvis Willard Austin; and her siblings, Ruth Helberg, Patricia McMahan, Dorothy Coppock and Wayne Mitten.
She is survived by: her children, Lisa (Phillip Pond) and Jesse (Sharon Austin); her siblings, Ralph John Mitten, Jr. (Rosalie) and Lovella Fisher; her grandchildren, Tosha Tharpe (Justin Newman), Ashley Pond (Paul Porter), Cody Austin (Brittney), Tanner Austin (Cassidy), Kayla Snowden and Kallie Snowden; and her great grandchildren, Teagan Patton, Ayden Patton, Jaryn Porter, Javon Porter, Jaxston Porter, River Austin, Rayne Austin, Ridge Austin, Emery Austin, Lee Austin, Adelynn Nelson and Ryker Nelson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (1626 E Broadway Ave, Enid, OK 73701). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made through Anderson-Burris to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
