She was predeceased by: her parents, Leroy Phares and Avis Phares (Mayfield); and her husband Ken L. Payne. She is survived by: her children, David Payne, April Norton (Bobby) of Davenport and Melody Blackwell of Webster, Missouri; her grandsons, Samuel Holden, Austin Holden, Landon Kusik and Henry Norton; and her sister Darla Tauber.
Memorials may be made in her honor to the Hospice Circle of Love with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
