He was predeceased by: his father Harold Brainard; his nephew Joshua Johnson; and his stepfather Ed Callaway. He is survived by: his mother June Brainard; his wife Lynn; his children, Angela (Chuck Jackson), Katie (Jesse McCants), Jacie Brainard (Matt LeCrone), Taylor (Darci Brainard), Walker Brainard, Brandon Parks, Gregory (Amanda Parks) and Patrick (Natalie Parks); his friend Levi Lockhart; and his siblings, Dena (Joe Felton), Diana (Phil Henderson), Virun Brainard and Dona (Willard Johnson). He is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
