We announce the death of Neoma Lee Beard of Eufaula, Oklahoma, who passed away on September 29, 2026, at the age of 86. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Crockett Ingram and Lula Mae Jacobs (Smith); her former husband Thomas Mitchell Sr.; her husband Erdie Beard; and her siblings, Elsie Davis, Virginia Mae Wood, Nollie Marie Degraffenreed, Dub Liddle William Jacobs, Herbert H. Jacobs and Floyd Andrew Jacobs.
She is survived by: her children, Tommy Mitchell (Sandra) of Checotah, OK and Johnnie Mitchell of Eufaula, OK; her sister-in-law Dean Eakle; and her nieces, Doris Ortiz and Elaine Colbert. She is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Hunn, Black & Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory (401 N Main St, Eufaula, OK 74432). A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Beaver Mountain/Mountain Home Cemetery.
