He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward "Ed" M. Bartel and Dorothy E. Bartel (Mason); and his grandmother Jean. He is survived by: his wife Debra Howell; his children, Cindy Nolan Taylor (Robert), Virginia Marie Landt and Todd Ralston (Robyn); his brother Gerald Bartel; and his aunts and uncles, Ronnie Mason, Bert Mason, Lavonda Enos and Erna Fisher. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren.
