It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Sue Heavin (Fletcher, Oklahoma), who passed away on October 7, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Detter and Ella Detter (Morgan); her husband Don; and her sisters, Marjorie Gaines, Marilyn Smith and Colleen Whitfield.
She is survived by: her sister Pauline Cobb of Cantonment, FL; her sister-in-law Marilyn Lair of Frisco, TX; her nephews, Matt Heavin (Kim Bartko) of Millbrook, NY and Scott Heavin (Lana) of Fletcher, OK; her niece Linda Simpson (Scott) of Norman, OK; her grandchildren, Marcus Simpson and Sally Simpson (Michael Smith); her great grandchildren, Olivia, Mila Simpson and Aiden Smith; and her cousin Donna Jean Wallingford. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
