He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Franklin Pingleton and Lela Pearl Echols Pingleton; his mother-in-law Estelle Nutt; his siblings, Kenneth Pingleton, Jerry Pingleton, Pam Pingleton, Frieda Langton and Beverly Verne; and his siblings-in-law, Bill Nutt, Robert Verne, Earl Moffett and Bobbie Moffett.
He is survived by: his son Douglas Dean Pingleton; his wife Carol Nutt Pingleton; his granddaughter Paisley; his siblings, Charles, David, Donald Pingleton and Louise "Dink" Tibbs; and his sisters-in-law, Barbara Pingleton and Phyllis Nutt. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends, five dogs, and a bird.
