He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Maher and Myrtle Defoor; and his brothers, James D. Maher (JD), Charles F. Maher (Irene) and George A. Maher (Linda).
He is survived by: his wife Ruby Maher; his sister-in-law Sue Maher; his sons, David Lindner (Carolin), Teddy Leyba (Nancy) and Terry Leyba; and his grandchildren, Viktoria Lindner, Joshua Leyba (Alexa), Kelsey Leyba, Zachary Leyba, Nicholas Leyba, Ethan Leyba and Sophia Leyba. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
