He was predeceased by : his wife JoRetta Meigs (McKinney); and his siblings, Jewell Gibson Mahaney, Mary Jane Meigs, Frances Meigs Goodnight and Cooie Meigs, Jr..

He is survived by : his children, Retta Gayle Meigs (Kenneth Terrell) and Terence Meigs (Starla Meigs); and his grandchildren, Tiffany Meigs and Ashton Meigs. He is also survived by several nephews, nieces, and a host of special friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hart Funeral Home- Tahlequah (1506 N Grand Ave, Tahlequah, OK 74464). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Peggs Community Church (6459 State Hwy 82, Peggs, OK 74452).
