He was predeceased by : his parents, June Poindexter (Metheny) and Clifford Poindexter. He is survived by : his wife Ava Lee Poindexter (Waggoner); his sons, Brent Cox of McCurtain, OK and Logan Poindexter of Gans, OK; his brother Hunter Poindexter of Gans, OK; his daughters, Chelsea Cheeks of Fort Smith, AR and Riley Poindexter of Fort Smith, AR; his grandchildren, Elaina Cheeks and Emmett Cheeks; and his brother Byron Poindexter of Gans, OK. He is also survived by several other relatives and friends.
