With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Swallow of Geary, Oklahoma, born in Clinton, Oklahoma, who passed away on May 3, 2026 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodrow Wilson and Nellie Jo Whiteshirt; her husband James Walter "Jay" Swallow; her sons, James "Baby Jay" Swallow and Jonathan Mark Swallow; her grandsons, Adrian and Jordan Wilson; her great grandchild Trevor Wilson; and her brothers, Delos Prairie Chief and Clayton Prairie Chief.
She is survived by: her children, Dennis Wilson (Fran) of Geary, Oklahoma, Paul Michael Swallow of Geary, Oklahoma and Dolly Swallow of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; her sister Patricia Fielder Jim of Chickasha, Oklahoma; and her children, Ray and Richille Garcia of Lawton, Oklahoma. She is also survived by 34 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
