He was predeceased by: his mother Leota Johnston (James); and his brother James Johnston Jr. (Jim). He is survived by: his father James Johnston; his siblings, Linda Bailey of San Antonio, Texas and Jerry Johnston of Jenks, Oklahoma; his wife Molly Johnston of Jenks, Oklahoma; his children, Beau (Angela Johnston), Justin Johnston of Dallas, Andre Johnston (Cheyenne Winfrey) of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Ilona (Josh Way) and Libby (Grant Fox); and his grandchildren, Sawyer Johnston of Broken Arrow, Raegan Rutledge of Tulsa, Mila and Jace Way of Bixby. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, friends.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Redeemer Church (5415 E 101st St S, Tulsa, OK 74137). A committal service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Ft. Gibson National Cemetery.
