She was predeceased by: her parents, Bennie Bender and Ella Joan Colbert Bender; her husband Bennie Duke Harjo; and her siblings, Nelson Bender, John Bender, Joe Bender and Leah Labrada.
She is survived by: her sons, Bennie Jr. "Duke" (Kristy Harjo), Bryan (Teresa Harjo) and Randall (Melissa Harjo); her siblings, Sam Bender of Cromwell, George Bender of Sherman, Texas, Betty Jones of Mt. Vernon, Debbie Ridge of Tulsa, Benella Bender of Cromwell and Alice Harjo of Arcadia, Oklahoma; and her grandchildren, L. D. Harjo, Brittnie Martin, Dakota Harjo, Ashley Harjo, Lindsay Pollard and Joshua Harjo. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other beloved family and friends.
