He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Shaw and Tommie Sue Shaw; and his brother Dale Shaw. He is survived by: his wife Donna; his children, Erin Shaw, Cady Shaw (Sean Seelye) and Dr. Parker Shaw (Katie Shaw); his grandchildren, Isobel, Oliver, Penny, Thora and Carson; and his sister Patti McCullar. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, colleagues, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his memory to The Nature Conservancy of Oklahoma or the Brain Injury Association of America.
