He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Ward and Kathryn Ward (Holly); and his siblings, Ben Ward, Nancy Cloud and Kay Scott.

He is survived by: his wife Nyta Ward; his children, Jeff Ward of Tulsa, Dana Hughes (Aaron) of Cherokee, John Ward (Janene) of Grove and Brother Richard Ward of Ramona; and his grandchildren, Miles Ward, Drake Williams, Zoe Ward, Aubree Hughes and Bronc Ward.
