Bates and Caleb Bates of Chelsea, Oklahoma; his stepchildren, Hazel Hibbs of Oklahoma City, Casey Hibbs of Oklahoma City, Jared Wyatt of Oklahoma City, Mason Wyatt of Wichita, Nikaya Wyatt of Lendon and Gracie Hibbs of Edmond, Oklahoma; and his brother Jeremy Bates (Delana) of Verdigris, Oklahoma. He is also survived by grandchildren, and aunts, uncles.
