It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Dean Wintrode of Grove, Oklahoma, who passed away on April 14, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Chester Wintrode and Jessie Cleo Wintrode (Degraffenreid); his siblings, Charles, Chester, Paul, Robert, Jack and Mary Lou Brumley; and his nephew Stephen Wintrode.

He is survived by: his wife Sheila of Grove; his sister Janie (Califronia) of Rancho Cucamunga; his stepsons, Cary Brown of Sierra Vista and Casey Brown of Louisburg; his great-nephew Stuart Wintrode (April) of Guthrie; his grandchildren, Nick Brown (Meera) of Austin, Zack Brown (Sara) of Des Moines, Cass Brown of Louisburg, Carmen Brown of Louisburg and Whitney Chavez of Grove, Oklahoma.; his nieces, Linda Williamson of Tulsa, Sarah Lynn Kvilhaug and Shannon Brumley; and his nephew Bobby Wintrode of California.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the VFW Post #1022 of Coffeyville, Kansas.
