It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Silvers of Guthrie, Oklahoma, who passed away on May 18, 2026, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Clyde and Bengie Viola Ballenger (Downs); and her sisters, Janis Rubane and Patricia "Pat" Miller. She is survived by: her friends, Stoney Point, Yellowstone Park and William "Bill" Silvers; her husband William "Bill" Silvers; her brother James Ballenger; her children, Mark McPeek (Julie) of Crescent, Oklahoma, Brian McPeek (Marla) of Guthrie, Oklahoma and Carol McPeek of Guthrie; her grandson Mitch McPeek (Amy); her children, Cale, Emmie, Cooper, Colbie of Guthrie, Eric McPeek (Coy) of Guthrie, Allison Grunau (Nick), Taylor, Cade of Guthrie, Daniel McPeek (Trish), Emery, Olivia, Evelynn of Stillwater, Oklahoma., Debbie Chappell (Jeff) of Guthrie and Vickie Lanier of Moore, Oklahoma.; and her grandchildren, Jeffery T. Chappell, Josh Chappell (Sydni), Jaden Chappell (Sarah), Jordan Chappell Hodge (Brent), Jillian Chappell Schmidt (Dillon), Jacob Chappell (Madi), Dr. Willam Barrett Huffman, Beau Lanier and Baron Lanier. She is also survived by extended family, including beloved nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.
