“I am so devastated by Byron's loss. We recorded three songs together just a few months ago. I don't know, but they may have been among the last things he ever recorded. They are only now being finally mixed. Byron had me send him rough mixes for Bette's archive of all his recordings.I hope to to send her the final mixes, so she has the best versions. He was so great, his playing raised the quality of the songs so much, I only knew him through e-mail, but I loved him nevertheless. God bless him.”
