She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Lee Davis and Florella Davis (Abram); her children, Albert Simmons, Glenda Allen and Chauncey Davis, Jr.; and her siblings, Arthur Davis, Jr., Edward Lee Davis, Laverne Boston, Vermona Jean Maloy and Elnora Fulbright.
She is survived by: her husband W. C. Briscoe; and her children, Ricky Simmons, Bobby Simmons, Emmit Davis, Bridget Simmons and Celestine Davis. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.
She was baptized at an early age and was very involved in her Church where she cared for others and provided support by donating her time, money, and clothing when needed.
