With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Harold Ray Smith of Guthrie, Oklahoma, who passed away on June 11, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Harold Ray departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Harold Ray. Though Harold Ray may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert W. Smith and Sarah Smith (Wallace); his wife Ona Jo; and his daughters, Clair Christian and Kimberley Yerta.
He is survived by: his children, Donna Sue Landthrip, Steven Smith (Tammy), Keith Yerta (Bonnie), David Yerta (Vickie), Jodi Woody and Sherri Hunt (Scott). He is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hayes Funeral Home (117 E Noble Ave, Guthrie, OK 73044). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Hayes Funeral Home Chapel (117 E Noble Ave, Guthrie, OK 73044).
