He was predeceased by: his wives, Iva Mae Phillips and Malena McClure; his siblings, Lucy Brown, Jesse Phillips, Elias Phillips and Cora Phillips; and his son Gregory Phillips.
He is survived by: his children, David Phillips, Thomas Phillips, Dennis Phillips, Larry Phillips and Ellen P Gould; and his sister Alice Duncan. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
