He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Goodson and Fleeta Goodson (Robinson); and his daughter-in-law Toni Goodson. He is survived by: his wife Janette Goodson; his sons, Justin Goodson of Lake Charles and John Goodson of Guthrie; his stepchildren, Amy Payne Weselka (Greg) of Dallas and Russell Payne (Karen) of Crescent; and his brother Bob Goodson (Linda) of Choctaw. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hayes Funeral Home (117 E Noble Ave, Guthrie, OK 73044). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Harmony Community Church (1201 S Pennsylvania Ave, Guthrie, OK 73044).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to The Alzheimer's Association (for research) or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
