He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert A. Friend and Nora D. Friend (Moad); and his siblings, Allen Moad, Arlena Monden, Marvin Friend, Marla Belding, Hugh "Bradley" Friend, Manford "Joe", Billy and Richard.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Young; his children, Mike Cline (Verla), Robert Cline, Brandi Everest (David), Chris Friend (Jenny) and Salli Izeta (Victor); his brother Robert "Buck" Friend; his uncle John Friend; his grandchildren, Kayla Dearman, Kyle Dearman, Douglas Colston, Autumn Courtney, Meredith Friend, Caleb Friend, Will Friend, Henry Friend, Hunter Collins and Bobby Izeta; and his great grandchildren, Hunter Neece, Braydon West, Ruby Dearman, Roy Dearman and Willow Courtney.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Community Church (512 E Seward Rd, Guthrie, OK 73044).
