She was predeceased by: her parents, John Belt and Pollie Belt (Romanose); her husband Edwin Pewo; and her daughters, Evelyn Highwalker and Johnnie Sue Greeley.
She is survived by: her children, Bennie Highwalker Jr., Tyrone Pewo (Loris), Kenneth Pewo, Charles Highwalker, Kim Tunnell, Edwina Bullcoming (Wilbur), Virginia Williams (Boyd) and Pollie Goodman (John); her adoptive daughters, Melissa Goodblanket and Karen Little Coyote; her grandchildren, Charles, Donita, Donald Jr. (Sink), Rose, Candy, Lance, Angela, Cory, Carrie, Anna, Ashley, Justin, Joel, Jordan, Nelson, Randall, Austin, Tysha, Tiffany, Tawny, Edwina, Edwin, Kenneth Jr., Kendra, Verick, Tori, Jamie, Jonathan, Jada, Javonna, Jalen, Joshua, John, Mariah, Martina and Marley; and her sisters, Ruby Standingwater, Leona Stepp and Sharon Byrd. She is also survived by 65 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her many contributions to the Cheyenne community, she enjoyed a variety of activities.
