The passing of Larry Gene Wilder of Harrah, Oklahoma, born in Watonga, Oklahoma leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on June 8, 2025 at the age of 79. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Rateliff Wilder and Charlie Wilder; and his sister Emma Wilder Robinson. He is survived by: his wife Mary Esther; his children, Darwin Wilder (Vicky Richartz), Darwina Wilder Blackwell (Bruce) of Oklahoma City and Rachel Wilder Sparks (Jay) of Albuquerque, NM; and his grandsons, Jonah, Jeremiah and Joseph Sparks of Albuquerque, N. M.. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Asa Smith Funeral Service (2039 Tim Holt Dr, Harrah, OK 73045). Viewing will be held on Sunday, June 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church - Newalla (20800 SE 59th St, Newalla, OK 74857).
