Terry Eugene Clinkenbeard Obituary
Terry Eugene Clinkenbeard Sr., age 76, of Spencer, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025, in the loving company of his family.
Born June 21, 1948, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, he was the youngest son of Homer and Josephine Clinkenbeard.
Those who knew and loved Terry, knew that he was chock-full of personality and never without a story to tell. The passion and talent he had for storytelling shined through in his every word and resounded through every room in his vicinity. Terry was animated in nature and passionate about the things and people he cared about. He was a proud father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved fiercely and was a staunch defender of animals. Terry’s long life granted him the privilege of loving a whole pack of dogs, including miniature poodles, Yorkshire terriers and basset hounds, who all undoubtedly greeted him in the afterlife.
Terry loved bass fishing, football, taking trips to the Roaring River, listening to “oldies” music, staying connected with his friends and family, building his extensive Harley Davidson T-shirt collection and taking his Harley motorcycle on joyrides. He enjoyed performing in several barbershop quartets over the years, including the Ragtime Rascals and the Crackerjacks. He was a successful small business owner of C3 Auto Electric & Garage in Shawnee, Oklahoma, and Clinkenbeard Business Systems in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
He’s preceded in death by his mother, Josephine Elizabeth Lacquement Clinkenbeard; his father, Homer Eugene Clinkenbeard; his brother, Leo Dale Clinkenbeard; and his sister, Lou Ann Callahan.
Terry is survived by his sons, Terry Clinkenbeard II (Prentice Warriner McIntosh) and Larry Clinkenbeard (Heather Clinkenbeard); his daughters, Dawn Lee and Julie Krodell (Matt Krodell); his nine grandchildren, Sabrina (David Heise), Samuel, Terry III, Solomon, Abigail (Angel Corona), Josephine, Maisie, Lauren and Mary Kate; his great-grandsons, Elias and Harrison; and his beloved dogs, Cassie and Daisy.
