He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Patrick Thornton, Sr. and Virgie Thornton (James). He is survived by: his children, Brian Thornton of Dow, OK and Heather; his son-in-law Wes Kirby of Checotah, OK; his grandchildren, Hannah Santillanes (Caleb Santillanes) and Erin Morrison (Landon Morrison); and his sister Connie Greenway (Thornton) of Hartshorne, OK. He is also survived by numerous nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a lifetime of friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Brumley-Mills Funeral Home - Hartshorne (103 N 10th St, Hartshorne, OK 74547).
