James Kenneth Choate Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Kenneth Choate (Haskell, Oklahoma), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 8, 2025 at the age of 93. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Kenneth Choate to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Aaron Davis Choate and Edna Zell Choate (Rippy). He is survived by: his wife Lorene Virginia Choate; his daughters, Cheryl Collins (Jamie) of Broken Arrow, Kendra Reeves (Tracy) of Alma and Michelle Gaertner (Jonathan) of Lebanon; his grandchildren, Rikki Ogden (Abe) of Westminster, James Tyler Qualls (Jenny) of Bremerton and Makyla Clark (Chad) of Okay, Oklahoma; his great grandchildren, Chase Clark, Arthur Ogden, Nathan Qualls, Mylee Clark and Wesley Ogden; and his brother Charles Choate (Judy). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dowdy-Marker Funeral Home (201 W Commercial St, Haskell, OK 74436). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Haskell (1401 N Haskell Blvd, Haskell, OK 74436). A burial will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at the Haskell Cemetery (1700 N Chickasaw Ave, Haskell, OK 74436).
