He was predeceased by: his parents, Frances George Medlinger and Faye Loreen Cummins; and his siblings, Robert Medlinger and Velva Allison. He is survived by: his wife Anna Lee Medlinger (Clingman); his son Jimmy; his daughter-in-law Laci Medlinger; his grandchildren, Rebecca Dunn (Jace Dunn), Megan Shipp (Cory Shipp), Jaycie Medlinger and Chase Medlinger; his great grandchildren, Sutton, Foster Dunn, Masyn and Austyn Shipp; and his sister Genita Rivkin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Hastings Baptist Church.
