It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virgil Clark of Heavener, Oklahoma, born in Yale, Oklahoma, who passed away on May 20, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Johnnie Junior and Mildred Ruth Clark (Clemons); his daughter Ashlee Amanda Marie Clark; his parents-in-law, Billy Gene Thompson and Carolyn Marie Coffey; and his sister Susie Hampton.

He is survived by : his wife Carol Jean Clark (Thompson); his children, Doug Rutledge (Gina), Joshua Stone (Cortney), Dillon Clark (Danielle), Dalton Clark (Jackie), Virannaca Watkins (Warren), Brandi Kitchens (Kyle), Anna Long (Charles), Faith Clark (Tyler) and Haven Clark of Louisiana; his daughter-in-law Amy Clark; his siblings, Howard, Jimmy, Dale, Roy, Lyle, Tillie, Janie and Kathy; and his grandchildren, Talon, Austin, Ty, Jace, Christian, Lane, Kamryn, Hayden, Harper, Krystian, Kaiden, Izzabella, Lila, Paisley, Allie, McKenzie, Karlee, Brayden, Romyn, Roper, Jaydan, Whitlei, Harmony, Symphony and Rikki.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in honor of Virgil to Gideon's International for Bibles or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
