It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lawaunta Hicks Soap (Henryetta, Oklahoma), who passed away on December 19, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mollie Hicks and George Hicks; and her siblings, Pamela Kay Hicks, Emanuel Joseph "Bugs" Hicks and Monroe "Moe" Hicks (MJ).
She is survived by: her siblings, Dr. Lahoma Ann Schultz (Bobby), Gary Dean Hicks and Johnny Allen Hicks; her sister-in-law Sandra Kaye Wilson (Thornton); her sons, Kevin Soap (Dierdra) and Chewg Soap (Shannon); her grandchildren, Aaron Soap, Laurisa Roberts (Josh), Emery Soap, Shyla Marshall (Garrett), Tamra Jimboy (Isaiah), Caleb Soap and Kay'ona Soap; her great grandchildren, Kian, River, Xay, Zeke, Kinslee, Jayden, Aiyonna, Donnis, Elias, Trace and Zayne; and her nieces and nephews, Faren Michelle Jenkins, Johanna Hicks, Cheyenne Donnell, Joseph Monroe Hicks, Ira Dean Hicks, Monroe Hicks, Jaden, Koltin and Bentley.
