He was predeceased by: his wife Gwen Sims (Jones) of Hobart; his parents, Bryan O. B. and Evelyn Sims; and his siblings, Lucy Bieberdorf (Paul) and Robert Sims (Dorothy).
He is survived by: his brother Dr. James Sims; his children, Carol Binghom (Tim), Dr. William Sims (Amy), Janice Sims (Glen Harrison), Joy Cook (Dale) and Anne Sims; his grandchildren, Heather, Josh Sims, Matt Burton, Brooke Rogers, Sam Wilson, Annie Herbst and Alexandra Cook; and his great grandchildren, Violet, Jude, Milo Nosworthy-Sims, Ledger, Haynes, Griffin and Summer Herbst.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 7th 2026 at 2:00 PM at 430 N Jefferson St, Hobart, OK 73651.
