He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Runnels and Mary Runnels; and his brothers, Hubert Runnels and Manuel Runnels. He is survived by: his son Dennis Ray Runnels Jr. (Charity) of Crowley, TX; his siblings, James Runnels, Juanita Briggs, Ogarita Smiley, Mary Washington and Charlsetta Thompson; his grandchildren, Sariah Runnels, Taylor Smith and Tierney Smith; and his nephew Lamanuel Runnels. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
