With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Onema M Bland (Holdenville, Oklahoma), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 12, 2025 at the age of 95. In the sacred silence of farewell, Onema is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Elmer Hayes and Lexi Mae Hayes (Denton); her husbands, Freddie Lawrence and Corbin Bland; her brothers, Odell Hayes and Durell Hayes; and her grandson Patrick Adamson.
She is survived by: her children, Teresa Searcy (Earl) of Shelbyville, Dennis Lawrence (Geri) of Muskogee, Donna Dotson (Walter) of Dublin and Freda Adamson (TG) of Calvin; Patrica Hammonds of Atwood. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 20 great-great grandchildren.
