He was predeceased by : his parents, Freddie Sparks and Maggie Lopez; and his siblings, Leoma Sparks, Fredricka Sparks, Juanita Gilkey and Glenn Humphrey.

He is survived by : his children, Jamie Higgins, Louis Sparks, Willie Higgins and Charlie Higgins. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Powell Funeral & Cremation Services (223 North Wood Street, Hominy, OK 74035). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
