He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Joseph and Birdean Horton Carter (Peters); and his sisters, Ruth Sharlene Lee and Janice Carter. He is survived by: his wife Sherry; his children, Garrett Parks, Tatem Parks and Chad Parks; his grandchildren, MaRanda Clish, DJ, Allyson Martin, Zack, Maci Parks, Ashton Parks, Tatem Parks and Garrett Parks; his great grandchildren, Aline, Jacob Clish and Wesley Martin; his sibling's children, Doug Lee (Angela), Donnie Lee, Brody Hunter and Samantha Martin (Hunter); his brother-in-law Gerald Lee (Becky); his great-nieces, Caroline Ruth Lee and Julie Lee Harbison (Will); and his cousins, Frank Hudson and Babo.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church of Hominy (110 E 3rd St, Hominy, OK 74035). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at the Powell Memorial Cemetery.
