He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter Brown and Mozel Brown; his brothers-in-law, Marvin Lay and Paul Lay; and his in-laws, Jeff and Magdalene Lay.
He is survived by : his wife Carol; his children, Steve Brown (Donna Eastin) and Sandy Layton (Gary); his siblings, Ben Brown (Betty), Wayne Brown (Sonie) and Darlene Woolery (Bob); and his sisters-in-law, Glenda Lay and Patsy Lay. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.
