He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Ray and Geneva Ray (Hampsten); his wife Donna Sue Jones; his sisters, Jean, Jane and Janet; and his grandson Ryan Anthony Ray.
He is survived by: his children, Chris Ray (Chandy) of Piedmont, Tina Schechter (Scott) of Hugoton and David Ray of Hooker; his grandchildren, Callie Ray (Dalton McQueery), Cael Ray, Ashlyn Spurgin (Kyle), Carson Schechter, Mackenzie, Madison, Hunter and Hudsen Ray; his great grandchildren, James, Miriam and Conrad Thomas Spurgin; and his siblings, Alan Ray (Val) of Oklahoma City and Ann Peacock (Mike) of Guymon.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Hooker Church of Christ (401 Madison Ave, Hooker, OK 73945).
