He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Burns and Virginia Goodwin Burns. He is survived by: his wife LaCinda Stanfield Burns; his sons, Brian (Melanie), Thomas (Gaye) and John (Stacey); his stepchildren, Stewart Stanfield, Colene Fisher, Darla King and Wanda Daniels; and his brother Ronald Burns.
In lieu of flowers, Fred had requested that donations be made to St Jude's Children's Research Hospital or Tunnel to Towers Veterans Village.
