He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Jean Trantham; his former wife Dianne Baze; his daughter Haley Trantham (John); his wife Becky Childress; his pets, Mutt and Jeff; his son Scot (Robyn); his stepson James; his siblings, Dennis (Ellen) and Pamela; and his grandchildren, Morgan, Madison, Michael, Mallory, Olyvia and Joshua. He was also cherished by three great grandchildren.
