He was predeceased by: his parents, Mason Leo Speer and Christine Speer (Ainsworth); his sister Nedie Davidson; and his grandson Trevor Cochran. He is survived by: his children, David James, Christina Speer, Brenda Speer, Tammy Speer and Loretta Speer; and his siblings, Ira Leo "Butch" Speer and Betty Lee Davidson. He is also survived by six grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
