She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Charles Calhoun and Minnie Opal Calhoun (Taylor); her husband Ben; her daughter-in-law Patricia Shannon; and her siblings, Audrey, Leo, Bobby, Sonny, Lavonda and Gerald.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Shannon (Achune Constantine) of Salina, Oklahoma, Cheryl Reed (Dan) of Hugo, Frank Shannon Jr. of Hugo, Gerald Shannon (Lynn) of Hugo, Terry Shannon (Toni) of Hugo, Nathan Shannon (Turumi) of Okinawa, Japan and Tim Shannon of Hugo; her granddaughter Brooklin Brooks of Hugo; and her daughters, Barbara West of Pryor and Karen Brooks of Hugo, Oklahoma. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mt. Olive Funeral Home Chapel (303 N 2nd St, Hugo, OK 74743). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Victory Life Church (2600 E Jackson St, Hugo, OK 74743).
