We announce the death of Tanner Rutledge of Hugo, Oklahoma, who passed away on September 11, 2026, at the age of 42. Tanner will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Tanner will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Tanner will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Tanner’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his sister Melanie Rutledge; his grandparents, James and Geraldine Bacon; and his aunt Donna Leatherwood. He is survived by: his mother Vicki Rutledge of Hugo, OK.; his sibling Joey Rutledge (Kellie); his son Tripp Rutledge; and his nephews, Tracer Rutledge and Tanner Trent. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Restland Cemetery (4808 N 4020 Rd, Boswell, OK 74727).
