He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Howell and Freda Howell; his siblings, Leonard, Robert, Harold, Larry, Mary King, Lucille Huffine, Mildred Hamilton, Janell Howell and Lois Matlock; his siblings-in-law, King, Dorwen Porter, Glen Hamilton, Jimmy Couch, Freeman Huffine, Homer Matlock and Geneva Howell; his son-in-law Thomas O'Kelley; his grandson Zachary Nelson; and his great grandchild Shephard Verm.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Tillman; his children, Dennis Howell, Dianne Chadwick (Russell), Janet Nelson (Bubba), Penny Huling, Jackie Green (Dennis), Lisa O'Kelley, Ann-Mary Gibbs and Jodie Price (Steve); his sisters, Lavelle Hair, Dorothy Couch and Helen Porter; and his sisters-in-law, Donna Howell and Mary Kay Howell. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren.
