It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara Thomas of Indianola, Oklahoma, who passed away on July 2, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clayton Riley and Ruby Riley (Free); her husband Buddy Thomas; her siblings, John Riley, Betty White and Carol Allford; and her son-in-law Harold Hearod.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Thomas of Indianola and Pam Hearod of McAlester; her grandchildren, Kelsey Hearod, Dakota Thomas, Kaylee Thomas, Mckenzie Kasper and Lindsey Hammonds (J. W.); and her great grandchildren, Kyah Hearod, Kollyns Hammonds and Sloan Hammonds. She is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory (110 S 3rd St, McAlester, OK 74501). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Choate Prairie Cemetery (4939 Choate Prairie Rd, Indianola, OK 74442).
