She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Chunestudey and Mary Chunestudey; her son Kevin Backward; her husband Sampson Joe Backward; and her siblings, Alice "Alla" Chunestudey, Ruth Goins and Jefferson "Coonie" Chunestudey.
She is survived by: her sons, Norman Roberts (Katie Christopherson) and Greg Backward of Jay, OK; her grandchildren, Taylor, Baylee Jo (Caleb Backwater) and Kyra Jo; her great grandchildren, Kamreigh, Sterling, Native, Koda Jo and Journee Mae; and her godchildren, Kristi Dawn Studie and Joel Grass. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family and a wide circle of friends.
