He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Dodds and Helen Dodds; his wife Margaret Dodds; his daughter Karen Ellis Conn; and his great grandchild Katelynn Feary.

He is survived by: his children, Shawn Dodds (Marsha Dodds) and Kimberly Dodds (Matt Panning); his grandchildren, Lauren Jones Cross, Stephanie Goertzen, Heather Watson and Sarah Bryant; and his great grandchildren, Jordan S, Skylar Jones, Dylan Jones, Ian Feary, Emma Feary, Oliver Watson, Heidi Watson and Julian Bryant.
